Teaching Philosophy
My vision for my future students is to guide them on a journey of discovery of their faith as well as helping them work towards the best versions of themselves both academically and socially. Throughout my academic career I have studied different types of religions as well as the way that they are perceived. I have come to appreciate the importance of understanding why people have faith in different religious practices, and in turn I have been able to find my own faith in Catholicism. By utilizing my experience with the uOGlobal recognition program, I will be able to show my students how to become global citizens without having to leave Canada to do so. I believe that I can bring my skills, knowledge, and energetic attitude to educate and inspire the students I will have in any classroom. I want to make sure that my students leave the classroom feeling relaxed and ready to take on the world. That is why I will be incorporating Mindfulness Meditation into my teaching practice.
